Hehe I got him the Star Wars Micro Series that was on Cartoon Network, and we went out to a nice dinner. Kept it small, since la casa is the big present this year.

Haha, well on Thursday an aquaintance of ours called and left a really fast message saying something about surprize party, Saturday afternoon, call me back.

Since they have a kid that's about Brennan/Ashlyn age Steph of course thought it was for him. I mean, who throws a surprise party for their spouse on a Saturday afternoon, and invites people that aren't family/very close friends?

Well apparently she does, cause the party was for her husband Cody. Problem was Steph called up Cody to tell him we would be there for the party on Saturday, and he's like huh? For Alex? His birthday was in December...

So secret was blown but I suppose it turned out ok. Kinda glad there was confusion, cause if we would have known it wasn't for Alex we probably would have made some excuse to get out of it, but turned out that we were one of the two friends that showed up

OHH NOO! thats sad! for the guy Cody hehe. I see what you mean....yeah, i will remind amy to keep secret birthday parties out of the line of questioning to make sure she does not call back and get a hold of me.

Well I wouldn't have called Cody had his wife left me her phone number! AND they have never invited us over before until now. Basically the only connection we have with them is our kids are the same age. Talk about weird.

What about embarassing moments??? Here's one that one of Spencer's coworkers told us. Why? I don't know if i'd have to guts to admit it to anyone.

So Bob and Kristine *(names have been changed, /giggle) had been married for about 3 or 4 months. Bob's B-day was coming up, so she had this wonderful plan. His favorite dinner is Turkey Dinner: its the dinner he ALWAYS asked for while he was growing up. Kristine isn't much of a cook, but she worked all day long to prepare a yummy turkey dinner for his birthday.

She called her hubby at work, and couldn't hold it in; she asked how he'd like Turkey Dinner?! Of course he was excited and proud of her for working so hard.

Kristine prepared the table, set all the dishes out and then set out "a little something special" ------ herself, butt-nekked as the centerpiece.----- But when Bob got home a few minutes later, the first person to walk through the door wasn't Bob.... it was her FATHER IN LAW!!!!!! Bob was so proud of his wive's attempt to cook a good meal, he decided to invite his parents over to celebrate and share their "special" b-day dinner!!!!!
