I picked up a new I mac G5 last night, ive been having all sorts of problems with the PC's that the kids use and the garbage that they collect on the internet, even the Anti Virus/Spyware wasnt working well and I was reloading the thing every six weeks or so.
I got the 20" wide screen and it is amazing, unfortunatly EQII doesnt come in a mac flavor so I loaded up WOW and it was fantastic, i have to go back and get a two button mouse because the controls were a bit funky with the single button. Diablo II was the only other Mac/PC bundle that I had and even that was better on that widescreen.
So far everyone like it and the programs are pretty intuitive, I still like my PC for the things I have to do, but so far everyone prefers the Mac. Wonder if Vanguard is releasing in a mac version? |

ROFLMAO Boy howdy Gnasch you just put all things hated in the technologic world for Renvik in one paragraph. Two words banned in our home:
Mac and WoW.
Honestly I can see why he hates Mac, but I think the prerelease WoW crowd just pissed and moaned so much with their anti-SOE parade that it just really irked him and then he has his technical reasons, but as I have said before. I am not a game reader. I just play and do whatever. I bet I'd have fun playin WoW like any of my other MMO's. Heck I still have SWG on my puter and I log in every now and then to plunk credits in my "Large Corelian House, Coronet" packed full of veteran rewards _________________

I've lent my WOW account out to anyone who wants to see what all the noise is about, so if you want to give it a go, let me know.
As for the Mac, I have to say that I cannot forsee a day that Im using mac for the things that I do. Mostly because im way to old to try to learn another platform and I like my libraries the way they are.
The kids love it and the graphics are phenomenal. I'll have to put you guys on the Blizzard and Apple mailing list. /duck |
