My parents always waited till me and my brother were asleep on the night of Christmas to wrap the presents and put the under the tree. Of course we would always wake up before the sun even thought about rising and try to wake them up after they had been asleep for only a couple hours. So one year, guess I was maybe 9 and my brother was 7, my dad told us under NO circumstance were we allowed to wake them before 8 am. Me and my brother were sharing a room at the time with bunk beds. I have no idea what time it was but I do remember mom and dad were asleep and we couldn't fall asleep that Christmas eve night. So as we lay there talking one of us came up with the bright idea to go take some NyQuil. Yeah NyQuil will make us fall asleep and then Christmas morning will be here quicker. So we went to the bathroom, found the NyQuil and took a few shots each. We went back to bed and after what seemed like forever, which probably was only 5 min, and decided that we couldn't sleep. What was the best way to sleep??? Go drink more NyQuil...bad idea. So we did this till the bottle was empty. We did end up falling asleep...for a long time. Think mom and dad were able to finally wake us up around noon. Of course we waited till after Christmas was over to tell them about this. Who in their right mind would admit such a thing on Christmas morning? Not me or my drunk off NyQuil brother...we were far too smart to admit to such a thing. HAHA yeah right.
