Help!

Ok its not that important, but maybe someone who still has access to EQ and the INTERNET!!!!! Could please let some people in CN know that we have not died or dissappeared or went to Beta.

I dont have any way of letting anyone know either. Not here at work nor at our own home. Our internet is still down and we are trying one last thing.

We are taking our computers into the shop to be wiped clean and to have all virus destroyed off both our computers. AGGGHHHHH!!!

WOW CN is raiding again!!! will miracles never cease! sorry before we had lost internet connection everyone was wanting to go hang in Omens, and three or four nights of raids were cancelled....bummed us out a bit, but now that does not matter.

Yes, we got our comps back and still no go. Our internet provider is ignoring our calls and we are going nowhere. We are going to be switching providers yet again, and will take another week for us to be set up once again. SUCKS!!!!

Well we give up! Just as an FYI for everyone.....We have quit EQ and internet all together!

Almost a month and a half ago our internet just went up and quit on us. We called our service providers for countless hours and also our phone line company that we have DSL lines with. Qwest (phone company) also was trying to help us get things started. Nothing worked for a few days.

Ludarian and Keiri came out one Saturday and it came down to our Service Provider changed a password on us and failed to contact us about it. We call our Service Provider up and ask them to change it....we get noone to answer or help us for 48 hours! one day we call all day with no response.

Laurren calls them up the next day and cancels with them. We call our Qwest again and request to go only through them as DSL and ISP provider to make things cheaper and also just have to deal with one company. ( No more blaming its the other guys fault )

They tell us it will take a week for them to do this and that for set up of our new DSL. I call the next week and they begin to relate that i need to wait one more day. OK....I wait....Call back get the new password, reset the modem links....NO CONNECTION TO THE INTERNET!!! the rep precedes to tell me that their DSL Techs are gone and are unable to test something until they get in, but he tells me that he will attempt this test but if it does not work he will send out a tech. we hang up.

Next day.....

I get home from work and pick up the phone......dead silence...no dial tone. Walk into the bedroom to see that the internet does not work. Yes, many vulgar and profuse words spewed from my mouth because i know now that i cant call anyone to fix this.

Next day...../commit suicide


Laurren calls Qwest (She is a lot better talking calm and rational than i am at this point) and asks them what the hell are they thinking killing our phones, and the customer service ("Spirit of Service MY ASS") gives Laurren a hard time saying they are gonna charge us for sending the Tech out and will charge us AGAIN if they have to come inside our place to see if its our phone lines. They even accused US of changing wires around in the box outside....OH YEAH HOW MANY PEOPLE IN THEIR RIGHT MINDS WALKS OUTSIDE TO THEIR BOX AND SAY!!! "hmmmmm WHAT DAMAGE CAN I DO TO SCREW UP MY OWN PHONE LINE TODAY!!!!" GO TO HELL QWEST!

Next day..../bleeding slowly in the tub

Laurren talks to a manager explains the crap we are going through explains that the last few customer service reps were rude and did not hear us through and just blamed it all on us.

Sunday - A nice guy from Qwest comes out and (NO CHARGE) finds the problem with the phone and fixes the problem. Phone is now working!!! No phone from Thursday to Sunday.

We have given up and no internet for us for a while.

I worked for cable for 5 years and really... NO ONE EVER FIDDLED WITH THE WIRES

seriously tho that sucks... didn't something similiar happen a year or so ago? up here in Canada (land of sunshine, high 60's low 70's this week) telecom is so regulated that a company would loose it's license for crap like that.

Well the sad thing is....in UTAH (mistake sometimes living in a place like this) you dont get many options to choose from for phone lines. your kinda stuck with it. We miss Comcast in our apartment by a STREET! and everything else has hidden charges.

....................................... .............................all we can hope for is to move to this house that has a different provider and hope its better because you know.....its the same situation only one phone provider out there unless you get cell phones but then you dont get internet.......grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Yeah Smawl, when we moved to our apartment almost 2 years ago similar things happened to us. i know its not operator error tho on our part........what to do?
