Yes, I'm alive. I troll this board every once in a while but don't have much to say seeing as how I stand by my choice of never, ever playing EQ2 or any game like it. I'm slowly weaning off the original EQ.
Ok, well I'm at work. Work is what it is. Once I leave I'm going to the sports bar/grill where my sister works (it's in Palo Alto near Stanford University) and meeting some of my friends. I will then spend the evening watching the Yankees - Red Sox game while eating Pub food and drinking alcoholic libations.
The best/worst part is that I hate both teams and if I had to pick someone to root for I would probably choose Al Qaeda in hopes they would bomb the stadium and take them both out.

My Packers may suck... but I'm still glued every Sunday.  Do me a favor and go light a fire under Kevan Barlow's A$$ - that bum is on my fantasy football team and he hasn't done crap all year!!! |

no NHL = riots in the streets. it's gonna be a tough year - but something had to give or the league was doomed.
baseball... no thanks. unless it's hockey I won't watch unless it's game7 or a big event like superbowl.

I played all night last night on beta 2 all by my lonesome and it was a blast. I think I like my mage way more than my warrior or paladin. The class is really powerful and the area around Commonlands is just way cool.
Maybe Antonica can be cool but the damn zone crashed twice on me yesterday so I said screw it and went to my mage. |

I was on Beta2 last night too on my Ogre after Beta 1 took a dive.
I gotta agree - so far Casters Rule. I love my Ratonga Summoner on Beta 1. Definitely going caster of some kind on release. |

played monk until b1 crashed, then went to b2 to play baby mage, then started a scout. gotta admit with the improvements to lag (plus I adjusted my settings to extreme performance) I was actually able to PLAY the game.
and solo content... SCORE 2 $OE, there seems to be 10X the number of unlinked mobs now, at least in the newb zones. THANK YOU.
casters rule so far, tho the scout/ranger class seems fun also. (anyone else notice that invis/sneak seems broken? or do you just have to try a billion times like EQ1)
I've all but given up on my monk but gonna stick around a bit and play with other classes (fizbiz is mage on b2 or smawl is my gnome scout on b1) |
