Unrest
Epic Shadows will be formed on the Unrest server. Why? Well looking back into the very first ES raids, Unrest was THE first zone the guild ever raided together. Curse you dwarven work boots!
You can play a good or evil character. The main contingent will be in Qeynos, but I'll have an evil character too. After the 20s it's pretty easy to associate back and forth between evil and good characters.
The guild will be very casual, much like ES was in the beginning, and I'm not in a rush to spoil any content in the game. I've done the hardcore EQ thing and life won't support that anymore. Besides, there's so much to do that we'll all be pretty busy doing whatever we like.
Looking forward to it and I'm glad to see some people have come back looking for what our plans are

still not sure where I fit into EQII...
no PC upgrade in the immediate future (maybe xmas)
WoW will run on my current machine (if the problems I am having go away, if not then I might be semi retired from gaming for a while)
hopefully will see you guys here or there

Well as for Lari and I its possible we wont be playing until December maybe Januarary as well. We have been house hunting and currently are awaiting notification that we won the bid on a house.
If we do get it then it prolly wont be until Jan. If we dont get it December we will start playing again.
We still dont have internet and like i said on another thread we are tired of playing that game so we are taking a break from online stuff.

| what if the first server that starts with an "e" is a europe server? do we really want to use one of those with the shutdown times being different than the ones in the US? just a thought, i will let you guys hash it out. |

I would agree - we should go with the first "U.S." server that starts with an "E"...

Eitherway, I coming back as an occasional / semi-casual player. I work way too many hours to be able to spend the kind of time I used to spend on EQ1. So... I'm glad I'm going to see all the familiar faces in there. I just got done asking buch what server he's going to be on and now that question's answered. Can't wait to get started.
See you guys in game soon hopefully.

Tan, that's some passable spanish you got going there, not bad at all.
No EQ2 for me preez. Once I work COH out of my system it is bye bye to MMOGs. I do hope you folks have a great time though, the thought of Epic Shadows re-forming warms my heart. Bets of luck to ya all.

Awesome news Nirus! Can't wait to hook up with ya in EQ2! I think that cements it... I was wavering on whether to buy EQ2 on release, but with SO MANY old ES people planning to come back... I'm definitely starting up on day one!

Most of us got sick of the mandatory sign in when you really didn't have the time to do it. I think EQ2 is going to offer a lot of fun for us and the bond we had in EQ1 appears to be going strong. Even if only a handful of us are in EQ2 that is enough for me . I just like being able to be retagged with my best of friends.

Nirus! Good to see you buddy.
I'm hoping that EQII provides what EQ1 couldn't for Epic Shadows, a nice casual home where small numbers and real lives on the back end can still keep the game fun to play. It's been great seeing so many ES people come back cause we'll be able to keep those core people and have a ton of new stuff to do together! |

Even if only a handful of us are in EQ2
think there are a bunch of CN switching over to. honestly they are ES quality people (didn't think it was possible!) and I might talk to them about signing up if that's okay with "management" |

Server names got released, according to the outline here the ES EQ@ Server will be..... Guk!

pretty sure that is the short list (posted just before the forums came down). there was only like 8 shown and I believe they planned for 40.
all of them are places (think everfrost for "E") except for ant.baille, which if tradition (using an NPC name) follows will be the roleplay server.
did we ever discuss starting on a RP server???
