Not until tomorrow afternoon for us. EB Games is who we preordered ours through and they are only releasing the CD version tonight and won't give us our dvd versions until tomorrow after 1:00 MST as they are taking care of their Halo customers first....Bastards.
My character will most likely be Kaerai as that is who I played on beta and I feel a bit attached. I may go with Keiri again. I dunno. Anywho...see you all tomorrow evening...I hope. _________________

I wanted the DVD version too, but they weren't gonna give that out today so I broke down and go the CD version...
TEN - THAT'S 1 and 0 - TEN CD's
I was a CD changin' fool
It's wild - even after playing Beta for over a month, the game still has a bit of a "new" feeling since you know it's "for real" now! |

You know the CD thing was done on purpose. It's the only way they would ever get people to pay for the 10 CD's version. All the desperate people will buy them today just to get their fix rather than wait 24 hours to get 2 dvd's. Seriously if you have a puter that will run EQ2 then you have a DVD drive. Evil, but smart....the bastards _________________

Smawl, you flip-flop so much... if you weren't Canadian I'd swear you were John Kerry!!!
One minute you're totally SOE-bashing and saying how much you hate what they did with EQ2... the next minute you can't do without your EVERCRACK!!!
Seriously... lemme know if you are still having trouble and I'll see if I can FedEx you a copy. I'll be happy to be your "Crack Dealer"!!!
Also... There was a Kyrith Sighting on the Unrest Server!!! Actually there wasn't a sighting... I was bugged and couldn't see him - he could see me just fine tho??!? Go figure - a bug in a SOE game?!?! Not like that ever happens!!! I tried logging and reloging - but when I came back he was gone.
Cya all in Game Real soon! |

They got me - but in the end the cost is the same and you don't get anything extra on the DVD... at least I don't think you do... unless you buyt he collector's edition, which I wasn't gonna so anyway. |

i bash $oE, i say how much i hate what they did to EQ, but i also said i love the game.
it's not the game i dont like (admit i dont find eq2 all "that", but it's early in the game and I am open to at least give it an honest try), it's the $oE policies of bait/switch and lie lie lie that i can't stand. i get really mad at myself for not doing what i would do to any other company that operates the way they do, which would be to boycott thier brand.
i am stubborn and dont like change. when i started playing there were GMs online. now there isn't. i don't like that. i could on and on (monk nerf cough cough) but won't bore you (made a promiss to myself to stop bitching whenever possible)
but it's like when i go to a restaurant and order a steak...
i expect it to be cooked to my liking...
especially if they state that they will cook it to my liking...
i really dont like it when they bring me a steak and tell me it's cooked to my liking when it's not...
now just 'cause i dont like the restaurant doesn't mean i dont still like steak.
and even tho there are other restaurants in town all my friends still go the restaurant that serves crappy steak.
hmm... forget evercrack... I'm suddenly hungry...
PS bestbuy shows EQII releasing nov9th so it just might be on their shelves. if not i'll send you my fedex account number and some $$$ (are you set up for paypal?) _________________

There was indeed a Kyrith sighting. I got in briefly last night, made Kyrith (who will be a druid, again), and saw Buch even though he couldn't see me. That was weird, I hope it's not a continuing bug. I got back on too, Buch... I didn't see you though and I had to log. I'll find you all tonight or tomorrow when I can get back on.
I'll probably play around with a few classes to see what I like... |

What is so impressive about Halo? You just shoot people. Nothing different from your James Bond, Unreal Tourniment, Desert Commando game. Halo is the Tickle Me Elmo of video games _________________

Actually I was really torn between buying EQ2 and Halo2. Just like EQ, Halo is NOT about the single player experience. There is nothing better than getting 8 guys together with two XBoxes linked together LAN-style to two different TVs and having an all night session of capture the flag!!!
Halo is the ultimate in multiplayer FPS. Doom, Unreal, Quake... IMO none of them held a candle to Halo. |

I can't stand playing a fps with a game controller Let alone in split screen mode. PC FPS for the win. Halo 2 would have a hard time beating UT 2004 for me, that game is a killer multiplayer FPS. |

/agrees with Bucharoo!
Well, I kind of gave up with the Dooms and Quakes wiht the keyboard a long time ago.
for multiplayer mode or EVEN co-operative mode playing Halo just ROCKS! My little brother and i used to stay up DAYS AND NIGHTS playing halo over and over and over and death match modes.
Then as Buch said get together with friends and have an all out Hash fest! less hectic than having to connect computers together at a friends house (before internet really was big). Or hope that people that you were hooking up with online were not hackers, cheaters, and please hell no the occassional 10 year old kids whining about why did you shoot me!
Yeah, got tired of that hehe
/Derail off! have fun in EQ2 we hope to join someday! _________________ Tanadel Talonleaf - Great Grandchild of Tanadil Truecaller of EQ1---lvl 54 Ranja
