|
|
At this point it looks like we need 6 people grouped and *gulp* 10 gold pieces to start it. Yea, ouch. It's not easy being a newbie I know.
I'm gonna need as much of a donation from everyone that would like to join as possible so we can start it. I'm not buying any spell or gear upgrades until the guild is formed. _________________

Well I have to have spell upgrades for my class. It's an important thing, but I am not averse to withholding gear upgrades in order to get the funds. I will only keep gear that I need if it's un upgrade and won't buy any merchant gear.
This brings us to another point. Guild bank. We are going to need one. I wouldn't mind putting it on my account if no one has any objections. I am home all day and pretty easy to get a hold of if the bank is needed by phone or IM.
I plan on doing a lot of pharming in my spare time during the day to help contribute to the funds.
Right now we have 6 active players for the guild: Mike (toon's name?), Buchalter, Kaerai, Commodos, Renvik, and Mikara. This is enough to form the guild, but money pool from us would take quite a while to get 10 gp. I know Kyrith should be on and Wade will be joining us soon. This is a small sacrifice to make for the guild so I hope you are willing to do a little donating.
The game is more awesome now than it was in Beta. I am by far impressed. I w;as very skeptical about the launch being very bad timing, but so far my experience has been flawless with minimal lag. Props to SOE for pulling it off.
We do have a TeamSpeak server so please see the Private section for our the server address and password. _________________

This is exactly how I plan to operate. I have about 30 silver saved up after just a couple nights of playing. Most of that is probably going to go into new spells after I finish my class quest. But I'll donate whatever is left over.

I was gonna say... I coulda swore I remembered reading on the Beta Boards that it was only going to cost 60 silver. But I figured they must have changed it for the release.
Heck, I've got half the fee already! I'll be more than glad to pitch in most of that! |

I think I have 2-3 silver. I'll share my meager funds though. |

|
|
Hello, I feel a little out of place posting here, but I talked to khain (EQ2 name) about joining the guild, and he seemed to think it was ok.
I played EQ1 for a couple of years on Brell, I had a 54 wizard (Ittie) =), I have been playing SWG on Kettemoor since it opened, and I have a Jedi character there. I feel I have done all there is to do in SWG, and EQ2 looks to be a good game, so I see myself playing EQ2. Although I wasn't in beta, and I know very little about EQ2, I still feel I can contribute something to the guild.

Welcome to the ES Boards, Kirsha. Right now we plan to make ES a pretty small, tight knit guild mostly with friends from EQ and SWG. We're not going to be heavily recruiting and looking to grow real big real fast.
That being said, if you can hook up with us in game and group with us and become "one of the gang" then I think you'll find you're more than welcome in ES! There are a lot of great, friendly people here, (except for that Commodos guy... ) and we're always looking for more. If Khain says you're cool then that's a big bonus too!
Looking forward to meeting and grouping with ya in game! |

Hey Kirsha!
From what I hear from Khain you are quite impressive! I played SWG for a short stint of about 6 months and I played EQ1 for 3 years on the Vazaelle server as the majority of us did here in Epic Shadows.
Epic Shadows was our guild on Vazaelle. We disbanded in September of 2003 because we hit that point where the guild just couldn't progress fast enough for some of our higher levels and after a good three year run we decided that rather than have a nasty fall out we would end it on a good note with the hopes of reforming in EQ2. Our unguilded bond has lasted for over a year and we are happy to say that we reformed the guild last night in EQ2.
We are a guild of close friends and welcome new friendships. I have heard nothing but praise from Khain and I hope you find the rest of us to suit what you are looking for. Please feel free to send any of us a tell in game if you need help. Welcome to our boards and I look forward to seeing you a part of ES.

I will be on everynight at 8pm pacific time untill I drop off the chair ....but you guys have to keep after me because as Seela knows, I get doing something and I forget to check my chat boxes (and now, to make it worse, the damn thing doesnt stay on the screen for long......)
Oh and thanks to Khain and Commodos for helping me get my shards back, I am really one for getting into trouble, thats why I am a scout this time, maybe when I am a high enough level I can at least get away from trouble (looking at the escape trick that scouts can do....)
On crafting, I really dont mind what I do as long as I can craft... so I will take the Outfitter tree, do you have to narrow it down to one? |

Yes you pick one profession certification as far as I know. There are NPC throughout certain zones that you can talk to so you can become certified in your specific trade. One that I know of is in Qeynos Harbor near the carpenters by the docks. _________________
