| Is there anyone who could reserve a character name or two for me, i'm not going to be able to get eq2 for a few weeks, in hopes that i don't let this semester of college go down the tubes. The names I wanted are Valnas, Fidelus, and Tonkan. Hope everyone is enjoying the new world, i'll be there soon. |

i tested it with my own account. you can delete and recreate a character with the same name (just like eq1) but not sure how it works "holding" a name for someone else? you might actually NOT be helping by creating a character to hold a name.
how long does it take after someone deletes a character for the name to become available to someone else? (i tried with my second eq account to take a name from the first account but even after several days the filter kept telling me the name was invlaid (taken))
on the other hand monthes after I deleted a character I saw someone else with the name...
wonder if they name wipe every patch? month? quarterly?
someone plug in Diago and see what happens (I just deleted that slot 2 nights ago) _________________

One thing that has been creeping up on us is server lock. As of yesterday our server read full. So I am worried that some of our friends will not be able to join us. My hope is that once the free trial period is up that we will see a significant decrease in population from those who tried it and didn't like it.
I hope those of you still holding out for a few months will be able to get in _________________

| Does it actually block you if it's "full?" I made a new character on Unrest when it said full, but it may have let me because I already had a character on that server... I don't know. |

I really don't know for sure, but I suspect that you can still make brand new characters even though the server says full. Seems like them putting in a check to see if you already have a character on the server would be a little overboard, either they would block it or not. And Spencer I AM SURPRISED! YAY!
Personally I don't even see Unrest being all that full. There's a good number of people but with instancing it balances it all out and keeps it fun. |

Okay per the EQ2 forums even though the server says "Full" you can still create a character.
I think they are doing this as a deterrent to newcomers to create on another server. For instance people who are totally brand new to the game and don't have friends on other servers.
Problems existing with full servers is down time/crashes and lag in city zones.
So be prepared for this frustration as you get into the game. Eventually people will quit the server/game, transfer, and population won't be as big an issue.
So Spencer and Amy...IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME! Welcome to Unrest _________________
