Still too early to really tell, but what class does everyone expect to play?
I've been planning on continuing Ludarian's caster heritage into EQ2. But, while I've always been partial to pure casters, maybe a melle would be more useful so that I can duo with Keiri2. That was our biggest downfall in EQ1, having two classes totally uncomplimentary so we weren't able to do anything with just us two.
So, thinking about sucking it up and making a pasty paladin as my main character in EQ2, or maybe I can get away with a summoner of some type. _________________

NEVER a pure caster.
first character will prolly be a fighter class (leaning towards monk but will not handicap myself again with a class that can NOT solo unless it is a class that is ALWAYS sought after by groups), followed by druid (priest class) or scout (rangerish type). of course this all depends on class skills/spell lists, ie I don't think the EQII ranger will be the same as the EQ1 ranger, monk = monk etc so will have to wait and see.
honestly if there an NDA for beta I will end up trying them all before settling on a "career". I could "cheat" and read all the websites etc but I've finally figured out I have more fun running blind and figuring out things for myself than by following a walk thru or zone guide. the biggest rushes I still get are when I cast snare on a blue mob not knowing if it is immunne or will summon. I learn a lot the hard way (like in the beginning), but it's better than knowing the outcome ahead of time. EQII = no websites = pure adventure. _________________

Scout over anything, I like the stealthy types and such. I realize that classes won't be the same like back in the day but I'll wait and see how true that really is. And I like the wood elves too much to be some other race.

I may play around with the melee side, but i've really enjoyed pet class in EQ2. I dont know that i'd want to limit myself with being a dark race, where that seems to have much more impact than it does in EQ1...
I dunno, still decidin' _________________ Nicolett Lvl 56 Fury
