Might as well make it official. Keiri is retiring from Everquest. I thought it would be hard to do this, but I actually feel okay about it. I haven't been on in over a month and I don't miss the game at all, but i do miss the people. I have had a lot of fun with EQ and have made so many wonderful friends. I am going to let my account run out, but will not delete Keiri. I could never kill her. I will be playing EQII when it comes out and will still haunt this forum regularly. I wish those of you still involved in the game the best of luck on your adventures and remember your pigtailed shammy and all the love she has for you guys.
Gothra: Thanks for being my mentor and friend.
Tan/Lari: I will always know you as the ranger/warrior with the Shaman/Necro heart.
Erwin: I will never forget the time we grouped up and you were drunk off your ass! Funnest night of my life :b. You were always so nice to me and I will miss your hair feet.
Nox: You have got to be one of the sweetest guys on the server! Thanks for putting up with me!
Buch: Go jump of that ledge in EW for me and shout RANGER DOWN as you fall to your death /hugs. You have been so awesome to me . I owe you some fun...come over to the dark side and I will hook ya up
Lexxy: Horny dog . I will miss ya bud. Looking forward to EQII and all the l33t Cyber $$ J/K
Mandaar: You are my other man. No really. You look like my hubby! I will miss all the clickies and <3.
Nerple: /lick !! I will miss you. You always shot me a tell within minutes of my signing in. You are my favorite stalker
Jazz: I will never forget your kindness and friendship. I only wish I could have done more for you.
Liz/Sathak: Again one of the nicest people I have met on the server. You are ES.
Pheaton: A true friend and hero to come save my butt when I needed you
Lendias: By far one of the best bards I have had the pleasure of knowing. You keep up the education pursuit! I can't believe how wild it is to have known some of you in your teens and to see you off to college /sniff...I feel like your mother
X: Call me you jackass
Blizz: I pretty much had left the game when you came back. I will never forget the King/Queen Chardok raids when we must have killed you about 10 times in one night. You are da bomb!
I know I may not have listed everyone, but I am getting all weepy and you know i love you all. Take care in game and I will miss grouping with you all until EQII!
Best wishes!

Vazaelle will have lost a bit of its luster and charm with the loss of Keiri. It makes me more sad to think about it than it should... and I don't even play anymore . Of course, I now have yet another good reason to look forward to EQII.
See you soon, Keiri. _________________

I'll never forget you Keiri, but seems we'll only have a limited period of time missing each other cause EQ2 is coming out next month (I guess)
See you there.

Same here, Gothra is rotting in his full set of armor and gear while I still pay my monthly fee regularly.
I dunno why I do that. I cannot get myself to kill him or sell him, nor playing him again.
Why is that lol? |

I did that with Lexxy after ES disbanded. played swg for 6 monthes and was still paying for EQ. couldn't delete or even cancel billing because I was afraid they'de delete the character.
it's like that plant stand you built in highschool... it ain't all that great, has no financial value what-so-ever, but you built it. throwing it out would somehow be like discarding part of your life. let's face it, these "toons" are more than pixels on a screen. sadly because of the amount of time we spend on this game the characters and the friends you play with get attached in a strange way.
will miss ya keiri, and I might hafta log Sixis in on SWG to get my cyber fix (not sure Laurren can handle me in EQ the way you did!). and will definately see you in EQII.
erwin... we grouped up and you were drunk off your ass
hmm, I've grouped with erwin in that condition also... heya E, 10 steps bro

Steph, I'll miss seeing you online. We need to get together again, its been too long.
I'm so glad we had the pleasure of getting to be such good friends first online and now in RL. It's best for you to do what you truly enjoy and spend your precious time as its important too you...

One of the best things I ever did in EQ was joining ES and getting to know all the great people in the guild and you Keiri were one of the Best of the Best! Even though we may never see your toon in EQ again this is far from goodbye. Fortunately we still get to talk on the boards, meet up again in EQ2, (tho after demo'ing both EQ2 and WoW at GenCon I'm sorry to say I'm leaning toward WoW... ) and who knows... next time I'm in Vegas we'll have to plan some kinda meeting! Even if I have to rent a car and drive 5 hours to do it!!!

Stiffler's mom is from the American Pie Movies, and thats her head that pops up on Keiri 2's body (is there a female version of the word junior?)

You're a sweetheart Keiri and I enjoyed all the fun times we had while in ES and even afterwards. To this day I still insist that I play EQ better drunk than sober . |

EQ2 and WoW at GenCon I'm sorry to say I'm leaning toward WoW
I flop around between the 2 like a cheap vegas hooker. right now I am leaning towards EQII but I think that's most likely because there hasn't been any new WoW news in a while and I am seeing vid clips of EQII all over the place. and hey... it IS eq
As it sits, if they both released tomorrow (I have a feeling they will both release fairly close to each other, the main difference being that WoW will be the one that is actually ready for release) IF my current PC will run EQII decently I would probably go with it. yes it will be broken upon release, there will be little content (lots of flash and flair tho), and class nerfs will be every other day (reference the first 6 monthes of SWG), but I missed WoW beta, and EQII will be the closest thing to a BETA when it hits the store shelves (yes I like to torture myself!).
the more I read about WoW the more it seems to be a faster paced shoot em up type game. i am sure it will be complete and have a polished finish, but how complex will it be with only 6ish classes all of which can solo? if you can solo the whole game then wouldn't 6 soloist classes grouped together make the game trivial? of course there are raid encounters but still... _________________

He got the brochure, no doubt.
My unretirement fizzled almost immediately and I haven't logged into EQ in like three months. Bless the fine guilds I wound up with afterwards, but EQ was never the same after Epic Shadows disbanded. Sort of an end of an era with Keiri finally hanging up her Spear of Fate. I think that's the best way to retire, not the forced way where you're trying to find ways to not log in, but when you come to the realization that you're done and you are comfortable with that.
I think my initial retirement really was that point in time, shoulda gone with that feeling instead of re-activating. Ah well, nothing lost except for a few dollars. ^_^ _________________ Formerly Lizarde/Miltorrus of <Epic Shadows> in EQ
