Here's a game for you to check out on XBox: The Bard's Tale
The game got horrible critic reviews but it's hillarious! Steph and I cracked up all the way through, and it actually held my interest to the end, which nowadays is rare.
It's the same engine as the new Baldur's Gate and Champions, but lots of cool tweaks, including 5 different combat styles and 16 different pets.
But the best part is it's satire and the pig-headed Bard. Very good fun, and it was longer than the other games like this I've played, but still not long enough.
There's one part, where we're hacking through an undead crypt, spilling zombie guts on the floor and collecting brains at 8 silver a piece, and I walk around the corner and see this:

Yeah, i have heard it has several bad reviews but i keep getting this urge to play it when i go to hollywood video. Now that you recommend it...

Ok, I have rented the game and playing it. Stayed up pretty late on Saturday getting into it. Right now I am in the First forest tower I think it is?
Anywho...The game is definetly interesting some good points and bad points. I think the whole singing is hilarious tho! Especially when you start out and you got the three drunken guys singing the Charlie Hops song! or the other song about the chosen one with the three Trolle or whatever they are. makes me chuckle.
It has some really interesting fun points to it too. I like the song stuff, but I found that I am missing many tunes because I am killing off giants and other stuff out of order. I was supposed to go speak to the viking king or whatever, instead, I just went and slaughtered them all! HAHAHA so I missed the Herne TUNE!
I still need more time to get farther but so far its a decent game and some funny quirks. They do make fun of a lot of games in this too....cant beat that. thanks for the heads up!
BTW, Steph.....the last time we came over and made you all stay up late Dancing our guts out....YA....you know! YOU GOT SERVED!
I did see the video at home! THAT IS HILARIOUS!
